Iona entered the Zen priesthood being ordained at the Hsu Yun Temple in Hawaii.
David Iona has travelled the world visiting many countries, staying in Australia, Germany, Switzerland and the U.S.A. Residing now in the town of his birth (1935) Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, England, where he has his workshops.
